UPDATE ON EFFECTS OF COVID-19 ON ROCHDALE TOWN CENTRE 11/05/2020

Rochdale BID want to keep you updated with the latest news, information and advice during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Please check our website daily for more updates for businesses and website individuals.

Lockdown update

Last night the Prime Minister addressed the country on Coronavirus and current restrictions.  You can find the full speech here: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/pm-address-to-the-nation-on-coronavirus-10-may-2020

It was announced that shops could start to reopen from 1st June and we are going to support retailers to ensure they are prepared and can open safely.  To do so we will be shortly issuing to town centre social distancing guide for businesses.

Further guidance on last night’s announcement by the Prime Minister is to be issued today in a 50 page document so we will update you as soon as we can on that.

Thank you

As we support one another through COVID- 19, it is important that we continue to share the right information and official government guidance to help keep everyone in Rochdale safe.

The BID wishes to thank everyone in Rochdale for adhering to this temporary way of life. It is incredibly inspiring to see so many local people and volunteer groups pulling their resources together to look after the most vulnerable in our community.
