Creating a new Town Centre Vision - Have your say.
The Council has recently commenced an exercise in preparing a new vision for the town centre which will detail how Rochdale can take advantage of the trends that are increasingly seeing our communities living, learning and working more locally. Once complete, the new town centre vison will outline an aspirational framework for how the town centre is to be developed and improved into the future. It will provide a template for a town centre that is not only more attractive and efficient, but more resilient and sustainable.
From the BIDs point of view this vision exercise is timely as now, more than ever, we must work to act. It is imperative that we continue to strengthen relations with our partners to accelerate the transformation of the town centre into a community hub designed around health, education, culture, hospitality, housing, leisure, arts and crafts, along with retail.
