Rochdale Town Centre businesses need your support

Rochdale Town Centre Management have been out since Boxing Day morning and every day since.

During that time they have visited all properties affected by water damage in the town centre helping to coordinate skips supplied by the council, and handed out cleaning supplies, which were also provided by the council. Also informing people about what other support is available, ie business rates relief scheme.

There has been a tremendous amount of hard work that has taken place since the floods and that is continuing. We’ve seen some really excellent partnership working between the council and other agencies and it’s been amazing to see how people have pulled together to get things up and running so quickly

We estimate that 90 per cent of businesses in the town centre are now trading as normal – so we urge people to please come and support their local shops, restaurants and bars because that support is needed now more than ever. The market is also open, as are the town centre car parks, which have three hours of free parking.

Many retailers also have sales on now so more great reasons to visit!
