Fusiliers on film – Rochdale’s homecoming parade goes online

Last year’s homecoming parade in Rochdale by The First Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers is now available to watch online.

Residents are invited to play a unique part in reshaping the skyline of Rochdale town centre by helping to start official demolitions in the town centre.


Cycle safety measures implemented

The first ‘Trixi’ safety mirrors have been installed in Rochdale to help improve road safety for cyclists, as well as the mirrors, more advanced stop lines for cyclists have been placed at specially identified junctions.

Dates for Rochdale Literature & Ideas Festival were announced today. The festival will run from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 October this year, with organisers promising a feast of events and another stellar line up covering drama, comedy, dance, music, theatre, films, visual arts and children’s shows. Preview events will also be held across the borough earlier in October.
