Alternatively you can send your vote to Rochdale Borough Design Awards, Andrew Eadie, Rochdale Borough Council, Strategic Planning, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale OL16 1XU

The council’s Rochdale Borough Design Awards celebrate the best in new development design, focusing on the relationship between good design and building successful communities.

Last year’s winner of the Peoples Design Award was Middleton Jubilee Library.

Council Leader, Richard Farnell said: “The council want to recognise building design projects and over the last eight years these awards have highlighted some of the very best. Here we have some innovative examples of existing buildings being given a new lease of life, new residential schemes that have enhanced their communities and a transformational town centre construction project.  These awards show much regeneration and improvement is taking place.  It’s another strong shortlist, but now it’s over to residents to decide. I wish good luck to them all.”

There will be two awards - the Rochdale Borough Design Award and this People’s Design Award, decided by a public vote.
