Digital communications chain O2 Rochdale is backing this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

The O2 store, based in Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre will be an official festival partner, promoting the event to their customers across the region and having a presence at the festival itself. During the festival, 02 Guru’s will be around to give free tech advice to festival goers and they’ll be demonstrating the very latest in virtual reality technology. The deal will also see O2 Rochdale’s logo on festival marketing.   They’ll be running an exclusive competition during the event to win tickets for other top music gigs which you’ll be able to enter by sharing your festival photos on Twitter.

Danny Simpson, Chief Executive of O2 Rochdale said:

“I’m pleased to support this amazing local event for our store and our customers. It gives me immense amount of pride, growing up in Rochdale was great, and now I’m now able to give back to the town and our customers, by our organisation supporting this festival.  We will be getting the public excited about technology, with Digital Wizards and Guru’s from our store team, to showcase virtual reality and offer free and impartial help, advice, on phones and tablets. We’re committed to the local community and pleased to support this event which is bringing over twenty acts and stacks of family entertainment into town.”

Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council who visited the 02 Rochdale store to meet the team this week said:

“Local investment and support from our partners such as 02 Rochdale helps the council deliver this fantastic event and provide an opportunity for thousands of families to come and enjoy performances that will appeal to young and old alike.”

Rochdale Store Manager Rick Phelan added: ‘I'm excited to be involved in this year's festival. It promises to be a fantastic event for the local community with great bands and entertainment across the weekend.”
