DJ Dave Sweetmore back to rock Rochdale’s Feel Good main stage

MUSIC: DJ Dave Sweetmore will be appearing at Rochdale Feel Good Festival in August.

Popular Manchester DJ Dave Sweetmore has joined the main stage line-up for this year’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.

It will be Dave’s seventh appearance at the north-west’s largest free food and drink festival. The club, concert and festival DJ is nationally-renowned for his indie tunes on match days at Rochdale’s Spotland Stadium and also presents his own Sunday afternoon radio show on Revolution 96.2

Dave has been ever-present at Rochdale AFC for 15 years and has spent nearly two decades DJ-ing at venues across the country with residencies at many iconic nightclubs and bars, as well as working with many bands including the Happy Mondays, James, Inspiral Carpets, Northside and Cast. He’s a regular contributor on BBC Radio Manchester and writes a weekly music column for the Rochdale Observer, Middleton Guardian and Heywood Advertiser.

His music got a great reception when he last DJ’d on the main stage back in 2014.  Dave plays a broad range of music including classic Indie, Britpop, Manchester classics, and 'the best records ever made'.

He will get the main stage party started from 3pm on Saturday 20 August. He said: “Rochdale Feel Good Festival is a special weekend on the calendar and has really grown over the years. It’s looking like being another cracker and it’s going to be a pleasure getting back on the stage again. The atmosphere is always amazing and it’s another great line-up this year.”

Glasgow indie rockers The Fratellis will be joined by rock ‘n’ roll band Boomin, The Twisted Dolls and The Bright Black, plus acts  to be announced soon.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture.

The festival includes live music across indoor venues, a main stage sponsored by The Flying Horse Hotel against the backdrop of the town hall, and Stage 2 - the community stage.  Chefs and food producers will host live cooking demonstrations throughout and the festival will also include the popular food market.

The summer festival is funded by Rochdale Borough Council together with sponsorship from local businesses.
