Rochdale Borough Council is urging residents and businesses affected by the Boxing Day flooding to attend drop-in sessions being held this month.
The first is this Wednesday (10 February) at St Andrew’s Church on Entwisle Road, Rochdale, followed by a second at Harehill House in Littleborough on Tuesday 16 February.
Both the sessions, which run from 12pm - 8pm, are being led by Rochdale Borough Council and will include representatives from agencies including the National Flood Forum, Environment Agency, United Utilities, Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service and NHS Healthy Minds.
They will all provide free help and advice for anyone affected by the recent flooding and looking at how the community can be best supported in the future.
Residents who have photographs or videos of the flooding are also encouraged to bring them along, to help with the councils ongoing flood investigation.
Councillor Richard Farnell, the leader of Rochdale Borough Council, said: “These community drop-in sessions provide a good opportunity to speak to different agencies, ask questions, raise concerns and find out about the funding and support available. The key to recovering quickly and increasing our flood resilience is to listen to the people who experienced it first hand and learn from their experiences.”
