This Easter Weekend brought two things to Rochdale Town Centre; sunshine and ale trailers!!

The Ale Trail event, which his is supported by the Rochdale Business Improvement District (BID), CAMRA and the Council welcomed visitors, who enjoyed sampling award winning ales as part of the ale trail. Venues taking part in the ale trail were the Cask and Feather, The Baum, The Regal Moon, Vicolo Del Vino, The Medicine Tap and the Flying Horse.

Rochdale flies the flag for St George’s Day

Residents came together to celebrate St George’s Day at Rochdale Town Hall. Drawn to the town hall by a town crier, people gathered together to celebrate the day of England’s patron saint.

Rochdale Digital Festival returns

A festival which celebrates the borough’s growing digital economy will take place in June. Rochdale Digital Festival, last staged in 2017 will be at Number One Riverside on Saturday 8 June, celebrating digital in all its forms, with demonstrations, workshops, lots of free activities and much more. Organised by Rochdale Borough Council, the day promises to improve your digital potential with hands-on help and advice for all ages.

Artisan Market crafts bumper payday for town centre businesses

Rochdale’s first ever Artisan Market has been praised by businesses across Rochdale town centre, who saw customer numbers surge on the back of the event. The Market Company event, which is supported by the Council and Rochdale Development Agency (RDA), welcomed 6,000 visitors, who enjoyed treats like paella, Thai street food, homemade fudge, botanical gin and vodka and sweet and savoury pies.

Great British Spring Clean

As part of the Great British Spring Clean Rochdale BID was proud to support the Rochdale Pioneers Museum and the litter heroes from Deepish Primary Academy. Pupils of Deepish Primary Academy and staff from the Pioneers Museum were on hand on Thursday to help clean up the area around Toad Lane as part of the Great British Spring Clean.
