Rochdale’s festive countdown kicks off this weekend, when the town hall stages a Christmas Market followed by the lights-switch on and fireworks on Saturday (25 November 2017).
Hundreds of runners descended on Rochdale this weekend for the annual Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run on Sunday morning. The event, now in its third year was hailed another success after almost 1,000 runners registered, encouraged by hundreds of spectators lining the routes.
The final resting place of Rochdale’s most famous son, the leading parliamentarian John Bright, has re-opened after a council revamp.
Rochdale's fabulous Grade-I Victorian Gothic town hall and museum and art gallery, Touchstones, have both been given the Visit England ‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’ accreditation in recognition of the town’s top tourism offer.
With just days to go before this year’s Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run, organisers are reminding participants to save money by entering online and signing up before midnight on Sunday 1 October.
