The Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre houses stores such as Boots, Westgate Department Store, Superdrug, WH Smiths, HMV, Holland & Barrett and, most recently, River Island has relocated to a large store here and now sells menswear.
The Exchange also has 2 markets. The Market Hall is open Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm (Closed on Tuesday). The Market Hall offers, Cafes, Delicatessen, Poultry and fresh eggs, Ladies & Gents clothing, Sportswear, Shoes, Electrical goods, Household textiles, Fancy Goods, Greeting Cards, Engraving, Shoe Repairs and a Nail Bar.
The Covered Market is open Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm. The Covered Market offers, fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery, cooked meats, sandwiches and takeaways, florists, jewelers, watches and watch repairs, electrical, haberdashery, luggage and bags, clothing - gents, ladies and children’s, shoes, footwear, books, cosmetics, make up and shoe repairs. The Covered Market also has a Flea Market on Tuesday.

The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre houses stores such as Wilkinson’s, Argos, TJ Hughes, Peacocks and New Look. You can visit their website here.

Yorkshire Street houses stores such as Marks and Spencers, Mothercare, Specsavers, McDonalds, The Body Shop, Thorntons and more.
On Drake Street you will find independent retailers such as Sandifords, Pennine Photographic, Butterworth’s Jewellers and Denis Hope.
Cheetham Street is a destination for independents, with 25Ten Boutique, Chantilly (Lingerie) and Laces (Quality Ladies Shoes, Handbags and Accessories). Number Ten, Bragg Bags and Okeechobee can all be found on Baillie Street.
