Operation Christmas Child provides shoeboxes full of items to send out to children in 13 different countries who otherwise wouldn't have anything to open at Christmas. This year Rochdale Exchange and their retailers and traders have packed around 85 boxes for Children in the Ukraine.
The Gift Wrap service was provided by Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre and Town Centre Management. The service was open to all customers making purchases anywhere within the town centre. The service was extremely successful and raised funds for Rochdale Childer.
Rochdale Exchange have so far raised £3000 for Make-A-Wish thanks to in-centre activities and their ‘Touch of Green’ Ball.
The Wheatsheaf Centre’s Xmas Factor was a fantastic success again this year. The event helped to boost footfall in the centre, with over 200 people in the audience at each round of the event. The winner of the singing competition, an 11 year old schoolgirl will get to perform at half time at a Rochdale Hornets game as a prize.
Look out for upcoming activities in the Wheatsheaf Centre such as The Valentines chocolate giveaway and 5 season tickets for the Rochdale Hornets.
