Dance with stars at big festival warm up

The countdown to this years Rochdale Feel Good Festival will kick off with a special warm up show at Heywood Civic Centre in July.

Singing sensation Catherine Tyldesley and acclaimed soul vocalist Larry Edwards will be the star guests at a special Motown Night on Saturday 17 July.

The stunning Catherine Tyldesley has captivated audiences across the country with her voice, described as ‘sumptuous and magical’. She’s also an accomplished actress, best known for playing the lead role in the BBC1 drama ‘Lilies’, and the rapidly rising star will soon be on our screens again in the hit BBC1 medical drama ‘Holby City’.

Catherine will be accompanied by Larry Edwards, lead singer with the band ‘Souled as Seen’ and recognised as one of the best soul singers in the business.

The duo will be performing classic songs from the Motown and Atlantic soul era, plus a few party favourites. The night will also include some of the finest Motown tracks with local DJ Tom Corbett.

Link4Life Entertainments Manager Graham Duckworth said he is delighted that Heywood is hosting a Feel Good Festival warm up show for the first time:

“Our Motown nights always attract a great crowd so with Catherine and Larry appearing its going to be a very special night.”

Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets (£6) go on sale at 10am on Monday 7 June and are available in person from the Heywood Civic Centre box office, or by phoning 01706 624104. Early booking is advised.

The Feel Good Festival now in its third year, will take place in Rochdale town centre on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August. It will include over 20 music artists across 7 indoor venues, a big outdoor stage and a 2 day quality food market. The Lightning Seeds headline the main stage on Saturday evening, alongside The Herbaliser and Kirsty Almeida plus other artists yet to be announced. Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo is confirmed as one of three chefs set to appear in the festivals celebrity kitchen sponsored by Love Food Hate Waste.
