Town Centre Chaplaincy

Supporting People in Rochdale Town Centre

All people are precious. All people are special. All people are unique. But we don’t always feel that way. When things get tough, when life is hard who can you turn to? Sometimes just knowing there is someone to turn to can make all the difference.

Rochdale Town Centre Chaplaincy is a small team of people who value and care for the needs of all people, regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation.

If you’re worried or feel alone
If life is not as you feel it ought to be
If no-one wants to listen or no-one understands
or if you simply want to talk

Rochdale Town Centre Chaplaincy is a team of people
who care,
who you can trust
who are outside your situation and
will keep what you say confidential

The Chaplaincy Team can be contacted via the Town Centre Management Office or directly on  07932 512644 (you can leave a message)
Or email rochdaletowncentrechaplaincy@googlemail.com

My name is Fidele Bolton I am a part of the Rochdale Town centre chaplaincy team, After finishing my studies I started working as Assistant pastor at Hebron Pentecostal church July 2006, since then I have been involved with Rochdale town centre Churches, and have been instrumental in bringing encouraging churches to work together in our town. Since the beginning of 2008 I was asked by Rochdale Town centre Churches to start doing some research concerning the idea of starting a chaplaincy in Rochdale town centre, I visited different chaplaincies and learned of how they started, the battles they face and the achievements they have been able to accomplish. Now together with Neil Blay and with the help of Rochdale Town centre management I am looking forward to contributing positively to the life of Rochdale Town centre members and visitors.

My name is Neil Blay and I am a member of clergy in the Church of England, serving at the Parish Church of St. Andrew, Dearnley & Smithy Bridge. As well as my parish duties I am involved in some work with Wardle High School in the area of Faith-based ethics. Before training for Ordination I worked as a Pastoral Assistant at Bury Parish Church and as Chaplain to Bury C of E High School. I look forward to meeting people around the town centre and hope that as a team we can effectively serve and support the entire community.
